“CLASS"

By: Bill Olson, Omaha, NE

“Show me a little Class!” “That’s Bush, take a seat!” “Hey Ump, you blew it!” We have heard them and many more. As players, coaches, and spectators, we all need to address
this issue.

CLASS IS:
* Being a positive role model and example to others
* Accepting the responsibility of passing on to other the “Right Way”
* Remembering & honoring all those who paved the way for you
* Defeating an inferior opponent without embarrassing him
* Accepting that sometimes your opponent will play better that you
* Telling an opponent “Nice Job”
* Winning with humility while maintaining your dignity in defeat
* Being courteous to all players-opponents-spectators
* Treating all members of your team with respect
* Never quitting
* Respecting your opponents by being prepared
* Thinking before you say something “stupid”
* Treating all like you want to be treated
* Your appearance- How you dress and how you react

* So in essence we will always have class,
* We will win with class
* We will lose with class

YOU ARE NOTHING WITHOUT CLASS
